Tom Swinburn is a multimedia artist living in Australia.

He started image making with micro-budget feature films and has since shifted his gaze to photography.

Following an exploration in different genres, Tom is (for now) in the documentary space and particularly drawn to difficult subject matters that challenge his own thinking. Tom believes that often in art raising questions is better than revealing answers.

His first photo-book ‘Divine State’, photographed in Tbilisi, Georgia, examines humans' complex relationship with mortality through the creation of social-cultural 'hero' narratives.
