Simon Weir makes oil paintings, watercolours, etchings, and drawings that have been exhibited internationally for over twenty years. Self taught as a painter, he uses a fine, almost miniaturist technique to continue the “dream photograph” tradition associated with Chirico, Dali, Sage and Magritte, sometimes with a naturalistic symbolism more readily associated with Puvis deChavannes and Redon.
