Free Julian

As New Year’s Eve approaches and many of us reflect on the lack of freedom we have had during lockdown and the lack of freedom some countries are still enduring during this continued shit show we call COVID19 / FUNKILLER, we took a moment to think about a deeper lack of freedom which so many political prisoners and freedom fighters suffer for the greater causes we at Pineapple HQ believe in too.

The latest artwork by Ray Monday puts Julian Assange in a saintly light with a gold gilded, diamond dusted halo.

Small prints are made with diamond dusted halos and ALL profits go to the wikileaks official defence fund.

You can find both these artworks online or in the gallery.

Pineapple Gallery has had a calm and beautiful end to this year.

Thank you to all the local businesses who have welcomed us onto the lovely Johnston Street. Thank you to all the artists who have trusted us to either represent them or print their work for them & Thank you to all the freedom fighters who pave the way for us all.

2021 brings many exciting things.

Our print workshop will be open in February, it is unfolding naturally and as ever, all people are welcome, please don’t ever feel any question is too large or small, we are on hand to help make the process of framing or printing an easy and enjoyable one and it is important to us that everyone feels comfortable.

We have some new and exciting artists on board including David Troughton whose work we adore, he also happens to be the father of Twinkle Troughton and so our first father and daughter artist pair, we hope this creates more of this kind as we think it is utterly charming and very inspiring to have the two generations represented together.

The House of Pineapple interior section is available online.

Pineapple Framing has been a big hit, more mouldings plus additional fine art archival papers will be available in March.

Under The Husk started out with a deep and dark offering from V&E.

Our little creative free space will be showcasing some more light hearted and irreverent happenings in February, watch this space…

Please remember we are only one of many small art galleries in Collingwood, if you pop by to see us please remember to pop in and see all the other galleries too.

Everyone shares the same dreams and every gallery hosts a mix of beautiful and interesting artists, check them all out and support your local community.

Happy New Year from Pineapple Gallery.
